Snell is pleased to announce that we have achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. This certification is critical to risk mitigation and supply chain integrity as it verifies that certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and uncontrolled material at every stage, from forest to market.

Any company involved in the processing or transformation of FSC-certified product must be certified for a FSC certified label to be applied to the end product. The stringent requirements regarding chain of custody protect businesses working to meet their own Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) obligations and commitments. This is key to risk mitigation as New Zealand businesses come under increasing scrutiny regarding the origins of their products’ raw materials.

“There is a clear risk of association. As a business, we are proactively taking steps to achieve the highest available levels of certification to provide our customers with the utmost confidence in us as a partner. We are pleased to hold a variety of certifications, namely FSSC 22000 and now FSC, which set the standard for our industry and protects our customers who are some of New Zealand’s largest manufacturers, agricultural and food processing companies”, says Andrew Day, Snell’s Group Procurement Manager.
